Friday, August 12, 2011 – The Ministry of Education and Culture has expressed its support for a decision of the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) to allow candidates who wrote the May/June 2011 examinations to access their results online @

The move has also been lauded by Saint Lucian born CXC Registrar Dr Didacus Jules who said it is in keeping with the strategic vision of making CXC an IT-intelligent organization which leverages ICT for the benefits of its stakeholders.

Deputy Registrar for Examinations in the Ministry of Education, Camalita Mathews says the development places CXC on the cutting edge of IT development.  “Students are now able to view their results online, as of 10 pm on August 11, 2011 students were given the opportunity, it is a new online initiative which CXC is now presenting to students, it is a plus because students are now very familiar with the internet and going online so being able to view CXC results online is a step moving forward in the direction of IT.”

CXC candidates accessing their results online are required to enter their 10-digit registration number, last name and date of birth.

Meantime the Deputy Registrar of Examinations says the Ministry of Education will prepare a report on the students performance at the exams to coincide with the official and traditional release of the results.

“According toe CXC`s calendar of activities the results are schedule to be released on Wednesday August 17th ,2011, then we do receive the results we will disseminate the results to the various Secondary schools and we will also take care of our private candidates by issuing results to them at our offices,” Matthew explain.
