Hon. Guy Mayers appointed to act as Minister for Labour, Information and Broadcasting

Tuesday, March 9, 2010 The public is informed that Senator the Honourable Guy Mayers has been appointed to act as Minister of Labour, Information and Broadcasting for the period, March 1^st, 2010 to March 20^th, 2010. The appointed was made by Governor General Dame Pearlette Louisy pursuant to Section 60(4) of the Constitution of Saint Lucia, and in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister.

The appointment was made on account of the absence from the state of Hon. Edmund Estephane. Hon. Estephane who is currently embarking on a three (3) week development study tour of the Republic of China on Taiwan. Hon. Edmund Estephane will resume full responsibility for the portfolios of Labour, Information and Broadcasting on his return.
