The World Health Organization designates Sunday January 25 as 'World Leprosy Day'

Monday, January 19, 2009 – The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated Sunday January 25th 2009 'WORLD LEPROSY DAY'.
In keeping with our commitment to community involvement in overall medical education and health care, the International American University, College of Medicine plans to observe the Health calendar proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO) - at least those with strong public importance. The University will be hosting an interactive seminar on Thursday, January 22nd 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in observation of World Leprosy Day. This event is open to medical personnel, students, government, private sector and other social organizations, and will be held on the premises of the University in Beanefield, Vieux-Fort.
