Wednesday,  February 18, 2009 –  The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) launched its redesigned web site www.eccourts.org on Thursday, February 11, 2009, with a dynamic, new look. The new site provides online visitors with dramatic improvements in navigation, uniformity, and appearance.

With the eye-catching and arresting colour blue forming the background, reminiscent of the Caribbean Sea that surrounds the nine Member States of the Court, this new image introduces visitors to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. The online visitor has immediate access to the website's major topic areas that facilitate ease of browsing and searching through information about the Court’s headquarters, the Judicial Education Institute (JEI), sittings of the Court, judgments, practice directions, etc.

Enhancements to the web site include:

Improved Navigation - Web pages work in intuitive and consistent ways, making it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for and know where they are within the web site.

Improved Look and Feel - Enhanced graphics and the new page layouts provide visitors with an improved user experience.

New Features - New features on the web site include downloadable court documents necessary in both civil and criminal appeals, JEI programs from 1998 – 2008 accompanied by papers/presentations emanating from the events, RSS feed, a multimedia section, and a more robust search facility that retrieves documents in less time and highlights search terms in returned documents. The papers/presentations will be added on a phased basis.

We invite the public to visit our website. Your constructive comments and suggestions are appreciated as we seek to facilitate ease of access to timely information on the work of the Court.
