Wednesday April 29, 2009 - The Ministry of the Public Service and Human Resource Development would like to inform the public that the Saint Lucian students currently studying in Mexico are safe and well.

The situation is being monitored closely by the Government of Saint Lucia, through the Ministry of External Affairs and International Trade and the Ministry of the Public Service and Human Resource Development and the Mexican Embassy. At present the students are not being allowed to venture into the city to prevent them from contacting the virus.

If the situation in Mexico gets worse the Government of Saint Lucia, in collaboration with other Caribbean Governments, will take the necessary action to protect the students and ensure their well being.
