continues to extend its hand of friendship and goodwill to Saint Lucia via two
recent gestures. One gesture will benefit the Government Information Service GIS
which is the recipient of part funding for procuring new equipment and the other

Those two commitments were reinforced Wednesday, June 27th, when the Ambassador
of the Republic of Korea His Excellency Mr. Lin Byung Taik paid a courtesy call
on Acting Prime Minister and Minister for External Affairs, Information and
Broadcasting Honourable Stephenson King. Minister King says Korea's areas of
interest coincides which the country's developmental priorities.
“I do believe that it is truly a sign of the level of consciousness on the part
of you, your government and your people and your determination to continue to
lead in the establishment of a free and democratic world which we all subscribe
to. I do know that in a number of instances we have been able to value the kind
of support you've given us in the various sectors. In agriculture for example, I
know you are working on a number of initiatives to assist that sector.”
The Korean official also expressed his satisfaction with the bi-lateral
relations between the two countries and congratulated Minister King on his new
