New York, New York, July 31, 2007 -  The St. Lucia Tourist Board along with the marketing and sales teams will host an exclusive St. Lucia Road Show in 13 locations across the country. From stops on the east coast, July 30 – August 16, 2007, to five locations in the Midwest, August 20 – 24, 2007, St. Lucia is spreading the word to the travel trade on the island’s plethora of developments and commitment to tourism.

With the increased demand for travel to the lush island of St. Lucia, and the addition of Allen Chastanet, St. Lucia’s new Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, who’s developed strong initiatives to create an even more tourism-friendly destination, the Road Show will serve as a vehicle to disseminate the island’s current plans to travel industry influencers.

The structure of the Road Show will consist of luncheon and dinner presentations, and will include sales series, destination presentations by St. Lucia’s marketing managers, hotel stays, trade show, and giveaways.  The travel trade can expect the following:

  • Updates on new product developments in St. Lucia

  • Tips on boosting travel during the fall and winter seasons to St. Lucia

  • A marketplace for top producing agents to meet with top St. Lucia executives

  • An opportunity to provide travel agents with innovative ways of selling St. Lucia

  • St. Lucia hotel partners and airline affiliates will be present

These Road Shows are important catalysts serving to strengthen the awareness of travel from the U.S. to St. Lucia,” says Lorine Charles-St. Jules, Director of Marketing for North America.

Filled with fun activities and plenty of prizes, the St. Lucia Road Show is scheduled to include Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Maryland, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Atlanta, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, and Chicago.
