Tuesday, August 14, 2007 - On 2nd August 2007 by Conclusion 649/2007 the Cabinet of Ministers approved Part 1 of the National Response Plan [NRP].


The next steps will be for the NEMO Secretariat to publish the Sections that have been approved. Under the Disaster Management Project funded by the World Bank, the Government of Saint Lucia had set aside a component for the publication of the NRP.


The Saint Lucia NRP is the result of collaborations with:

  • Coordinating Unit of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency [CDERA/CU]
  • USAID/OFDA [Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance]
  • Pan American Health Organisation [PAHO]
  • Seismic Research Unit [SRU]
  • Caribbean Development Bank [CDB]
  • Federal Emergency Management Agency [FEMA]
