Friday, February 3, 2006 - The Consulates of St. Lucia Antilles Guyane and the Government of St. Lucia are concerned that St. Lucian nationals continue to arrive at Port Fort de France on Express D'Iles without the necessary entry documents.

The Consulate repeats the entry requirements for persons arriving under the 15-day No-Visa Protocol as follows:

  1. All passengers must present to the Immigration Officials:

a) A valid passport

b) A lodging certificate (stating place of abode in Martinique) and

c) 25 per day (show money for the period of stay)

d) In case of persons planning to stay at hotels or guest houses, a valid reservation

an average cash on hand of 50 per day for the duration of stay or a valid Credit Card

e) A valid Certificate of Health Insurance for a face value of 30,000 or EC$100,000 to

cover incidental Health Insurance Expenses.

2 .   Nationals arriving without the above documents and the cash requirements may be refused entry and returned to St. Lucia immediately or detained by French Immigration Authorities.

Please note that the practice whereby relatives try to present money to passengers upon arrival at the Port of Fort de France is not acceptable.

All passengers must leave St. Lucia with all the requirements of entry for presentation to the Immigration Officers on arrival at the Port of entry.

Arriving nationals and their relatives and friends in both Martinique and St. Lucia are urged to be guided accordingly.
