Friday, February 24, 2006 – Together with the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, the Regional Security System [RSS], Cricket World Cup [CWC] and the National Emergency Management Organisation; the Saint Lucia Cadet Corps again found itself in the thick of “battle” as a two day, multi event unfolded in Saint Lucia.

Aimed at having the Country prepared for a negative event during the hosting of Cricket World Cup the National Response Mechanism, of which the Cadet Corps is part, was tested.

The newly approved Cadet Corps Disaster Response Plan was brought to bare upon the various Mass Causality Events.  Over the years the Cadets have taken part in the Airports Simulations but this was the first opportunity for the Corps to test the new plan in a Regional Event.

Once the debriefing has taken place the plan will be reviewed if needed edited.
