Thursday, November 04, 2004 - Prime Minister Honourable Dr. Kenny Anthony leaves the island Sunday November 7th for a two day CARICOM Community meeting in Trinidad and Tobago.

The meeting, the Tenth Special Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community will be held at the Trinidad Hilton.

Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Chairperson of CARICOM will deliver the welcome address as well as remarks by host Prime Minister, Patrick Manning of Trinidad and Tobago.

Dr Anthony is expected to join his colleagues in discussions on the completion of the Single Market by 2005, and moving towards the Single Economy.

Dr Anthony will leave Trinidad and Tobago for another meeting, this time in Tortola, British Virgin Inlands.

Dr Anthony will chair the OECS Authority meeting to be held November 10th. Director of the OECS, Dr. Len Ishmael in a recent press conference said that the meeting would discuss greater cooperation of the sub-region. She said the lessons of Grenada in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan pointed to urgency for deepening integration in the region.
