Tuesday, February 24, 2004 - In recognition of the 25th Anniversary
Independence of St. Lucia and its own 25th Anniversary, the National Insurance
Corporation (NIC) has made a gift to the nation in the area of health care.
The gift involves a fully equipped surgical suite at Victoria Hospital to be
commissioned by the middle of this year. The facilities to be provided:
Two (2) operating theatres;
One (1) three (3) bed recovery room;
Six (6) bed Intensive cart unit;
CSSD;
Nurses and Doctors Lounge;
Domestic and Orderly Change Room;
Nurse Managers Office;
Endoscopy Room;
Quiet Room;
Medial Gas System;
Vacuum Plant; and
Air Conditioning System;
