Tuesday, August 17, 2004 – The Ministry of Commerce, Investment and
Consumer affairs is urging local companies and individuals to participate in
“Guyexpo 2k4”, a trade exposition to be held at the National Exhibition Centre,
Sophia, Georgetown, Guyana from September 23 – 27, 2004.
Guyexpo 2k4 is a great opportunity for all who are interested in doing business
in Guyana. This biennial activity attracts approximately 250 manufacturers,
exporters, buyers and investors from Caricom, Latin America, the United Kingdom
and North America.
The exposition will showcase an array of products and services available in
Guyana, including agro processed foods, rums and beverages, pharmaceuticals,
furniture, forestry, mining, tourism, and information technology. It will also
include a seminar on “Doing Business in Guyana”, one on one meetings with
Manufacturers and visits to manufacturing operations in Guyana.
