Wednesday, June 12, 2002 - Parliamentary Representative for Dennery South Honourable Damian Greaves has applauded the Dennery Police for their outstanding performance in helping to crack down on the recent spate of robberies in that community. His comments were further prompted by the police intervention in the buglarization of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Greaves, who is also the Minister for Human Services and Family Affairs says he is also aware of the strides being made to engage in good community policing as is evident by the increased community patrols and high police presence at meetings of various interest groups in the community.

According the Honourable Greaves: “At a time when the Royal St. Lucia Police Force is facing extreme scrutiny under a public microscope with the negative being emphasised, it is fitting to highlight successes as well as recognize them by an expression of gratitude.”
