The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade is gearing up to play host to a high level eight-member delegation from Malaysia, due to arrive here next week.

The August 13-15 visit, led by Malaysia’s Minister of Works, comes as a follow-up request for technical assistance on the part of Prime Minister Honourable Dr. Kenny Anthony, who visited Malaysia in May of this year.

The Malaysian Minister of Works will hold talks with local counterpart Communication and Works Minister Senator Calixte George, on the status of the island’s road infrastructural network.

Foreign Affairs officials say it is too early to ascertain whether or not a major package of assistance will be announced, following the Minister’s visit to St. Lucia.
