The CommonwealthMonday, January 10, 2000 – Senior Civil Servants responsible for personnel administration will participate in a Commonwealth Regional Training Programme on Training Needs Analysis later this month. The programme being held in collaboration with the Management Training Services Division of the Commonwealth Secretariat of London and the Government of Saint Lucia is intended to extend senior officers’ knowledge of techniques and methods to examine and determine needs at national and organizational levels.

The programme also aims to upgrade the participants’ competence in training designs and development through a clear understanding of the theory and practice of training needs analysis.

Over twenty overseas participants including four facilitators from the National Institute of Public Administration of Malaysia are expected on island for the January 17 to 28 Training programme.

Prime Minister Honourable Dr. Kenny Anthony will deliver the feature address at the opening ceremony. Other senior government officers down to address the opening include Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of the Public Service, Mr. Wilbert King and Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of the Public Service, Mr. Cyrus Reynolds.
