The Government of Saint Lucia is seeking to review the status and standing of former heads of Government who have retired from active politics with a view to extending appropriate privileges and recognition to them. Prime Minister Honourable Dr. Kenny Anthony made this announcement on Tuesday, January 04, as he delivered his New Year’s message.

Dr. Anthony says he intends to propose to the Cabinet of Ministers that government appoints a three-person committee comprising one representative from the Saint Lucia Labour Party, one representative from the United Workers Party and an independent citizen to undertake the exercise and make recommendations.
