Parang Workshop

September 11, 1998 - The Department of Culture has secured the expertise of two Parang musicians to assist with passing the proper arrangement of the Parang technique to local musicians. A three-day workshop has been planned to facilitate this transfer of skills.

Field Cultural Officer, Frank Norville says the only criteria for participation in the workshop is the ability to play the guitar. Interested persons can register at the Department of Culture. The workshop runs from September 14 – 16, 1998.
