September 16, 1997 - The Ministry of Education's adult literacy programme will soon be revised with the view to its enhancement. This was disclosed over the weekend by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Dr. Didicus Jules.

Hundred of adult learners turned out at the Belle Vue School, Sunday for their annual adult literacy rally.

Coordinator of the South Eastern Centres, Shelia Eristee reminding the gathering that literacy is the cornerstone which gives empowerment to the island's greatest resources - its people.


This year's rally was held under the theme "Great Things Happen When We Take Pride in Learning Together."
